Crazy Wisdom

Tea Room in the Crazy Wisdom bookstore in Ann Arbor (can you see the snowflakes outside the window? Click on pic to enlarge.)

I played hookie yesterday with my friend Inge. Nothing like the luxury of taking a day off in Ann Arbor:
And now I still have two days off before going back to work. Mmm, 3-day weekend.

Ann Arbor is a beautiful name.
Book store with a coffee shop is heaven for me. What a name Ruth !

Having too many blogs is a problem and a pressure Ruth, I find it difficult to manage two, I would suggest a new blog or in synchoranising itself you could post your personal reviews of the books you are reading.

Rauf, yep, I never thought of the name "Ann Arbor" being pretty, but it is. I grew up with it and never saw it that way. Thank you for that.

As for "Crazy Wisdom" I love that too. I think it's a term coined by Rob Brezsny.

I really like your idea of writing book reviews. It would be a different kind of challenge, and it is stimulating me now! Hmm, I'll have to think about how to do it. If it were a separate blog, I don't think it would be a lot of work. After all, I'd only post a review after finishing a book, and since I usually read about five at a time, it might be a while between postings. :|

Ahh, I love Shalimar. And I want to see The Queen, too. I may see it today. It's playing at my local theater. I'll miss the Shalimar feast, though. Ummm, vegetable pakora curry is my fave.

I sure hope someone from work knows you played hookie on Friday and doesn't find out about it on your blog. HA. (That's a joke!)

Anyway, it all sounds heavenly and so therapeutic. I need to find ways to get my soul filled like that but I think that would mean you'd need to move to Atlanta or I'd have to move to Ann Arbor :) Well, of course not. I just need to work on it. I do have a friend in Hannover who meets up with me every time I'm there, so that's a start.

Hey, Heather, you and I should meet at Shalimar sometime!

Ginnie, ha, yeah, that would make me nervous, except they knew I was TAKING the day off. Everyone needs to do it sometime. One week of my annual vacation (I get 4!) I spread out a day at a time. Yes, I'd love to play hooky with you. I miss you.

BTW, The Queen hasn't come to Atlanta yet (at least not to our neighborhood), so when it does, I'm glad for your recommendation. We had already planned to see it, but I especially like it when YOU "highly recommend" a movie. Maybe it'll be here this weekend?

Ginnie, I heard it was playing in limited theaters, and it isn't in greater Lansing either.

Sounded like a great day.
Loved The Crazy Wisdom Bookstore complete with an upstairs tearoom.
Divine.
and I LOVE a good Indian meal.
(I'm curious to know which book you picked...you know my preference)

THR, well I bought all 3! I started The Presence Process on the weekend (and the process yesterday!) and I am already BLOWN AWAY. I wish I was in your small group! I'd love to talk with you about it.

Crap, you can read fast.
It took me a few days to get through the initial reading material.
I am on week 4 now and have found it to be "just what I needed".
Maybe I'll post a page for discussing this process on my blog like I am doing with the 4 Agreement topics....

THR, something in me couldn't put it down and then realized I wanted to start the process Monday, so I wanted to get through it. It seemed effortless though. I have extra time Monday mornings before work, so it's a perfect time to read the session material each week.

This morning (3rd day) my breathing became effortless, yet conscious. First time!
