Lydia, Eli and Don scrubbing screens for the porch
Ha! These are the screw brackets for the screens/windows. Anyone who has put these up or taken them down can feel the burn from the screws on their fingers and thumbs. Ouch!
Aden and Asher helped by being happy boys who entertained us with their cuteness.

Thank you, Ruth, for knowing I'd want to know and see! I needed this!!!
We always miss you on these days, and everyone who can't be there. But Hukilau comforts us.
i can't believe how big all the kids are! such great photos. thank you for sharing, my mammas.
Lesley, Lydia is getting so tall, and so it Eli. And these babies! Aden is 13 months, and Asher is 8 months. So cute!
What fun pictures of family. Even work can be fun when its an adventure done with loved ones.
Thanks for sharing.
Ruth - just happened to drop in and what timing! So sorry we couldn't be there to lend a hand, but so happy to see the cottage in Springtime. Looking forward to seeing all of you there soon!!!
lovely atmosphere Ruth. Children are so keen to help. They really appreciate if they are taken away from video games and given some thing exciting instead.
Photowannabe, there were 8 of us kids growing up, and my dad used to say "many hands make light work," and it's so true!
Dennis, too bad you couldn't be there, it was fun. But someday maybe! We'll leave all the really heavy work for you, moving the wood couch, putting the dock in yourself, etc. You're a big guy, and I'm sure you could handle that. ;)
Just kidding.
rauf, these kids were so helpful. I couldn't get over Lydia! First she volunteered to clean inside, and she washed all the living room furniture. Then she helped Don get the screens and scrubbed them down. And that Eli was unstoppable too. The key is the parenting: including them in household responsibilities.
These pictures are great, Ruth! And you're right - they love to be included. Such a feeling of accomplishment!
Yay, Manda! I'm glad you enjoyed the pics. Your kids are so adorable, and helpful! :)
