Oh man, we don't have those here!
Good thing, I'd be as big as a house!
Although, it's always difficult to keep the balance ie: enjoying something so wonderful as this, when we see what it costs us (ie:@Huffing) - is it really that black and white though (my thought, not yours) - more like black and white swirling and curling around one another.

Enough, too much, i'm thinkin, Boots.

Letitia, nothing is black & white. Oh, and I ate that custard filled paczki, no problems, no questions. And I'm still a member of the society I complain about at huffing.

Yah, I bought six of them yesterday for me and Timo. We ate two. Timo had never celebrated Fat Tuesday before. Later, we had some raspberry danish/coffee cake thing. Oh yes, and I bought a jar of Nutella for Timo's toast in the morning and for after school snacks. It's all about fatty pants here at Chez Harrison. Timo and I are the only sweetie tooths in the house, though.

About the raspberry danish: Timo says in Finland they call it "wiener." I doubt that's how they spell it. He says that once he watched an episode of "Friends" where they were talking about wieners, and he thought they meant danish.

When The Simpsons was translated into Arabic for the first time a year ago, the most popular phrase was Homer Simpson saying "Chocolate doughnuts floating in butter, yummmm!" They should have done a Mardi Gras paczki edition!

Heath, that's hilarious.

And I don't think you need to worry about fatty pants. You know when to quit. Timo too.

Loring, omg, are you kidding me? Hahahaha. Wouldn't I love to hear him say that in Arabic.

One of the funniest memories living in Istanbul was listening to the translations and voices chosen for familiar TV programs, such as Charlie Brown cartoons. There were always the same three or four voices in all the myriad of cartoons, whether He-man, Bugs Bunny, whatever.

You should hear that in German too, they have 4 voices for the entire film industry, no wonder...in Holland we do have the original movies and just Dutch subtittled, where do I get all those words from, now I even put the English subtittiles with it, when I have a rental DVD, listen and read in the same time, Ruth if you are intersted in learning Dutch, ik wil je graag helpen, I gladly will help you, Ginnie knows that too...grin...

Sorry, the anonymous one is me, Astrid, I was too quick and not thinking, that happens to me lately.....grin

Ah, thank you, Astrid, I knew it was you. And thanks for the offer of help to learn Dutch. That's a pretty good deal, when you're already helping one Hart girl!
