Fleur de lis

Another symbol: fleur de lis.

To some, it represents the beauties of France, and even New Orleans!

To some, it represents the Royalists at the time of the French Revolution. Yikes!

These are in Dublin. Go figure.

As the Wiki article says, the fleur de lis is also a religious symbol for the Holy Trinity. It was the symbol of the EdenCare assisted-living place where I worked for a year, with an emphasis on Body, Mind and Soul. Also, dignity, independence and privacy! I've always liked being able to come up with "trinity" words. Three is a good number :)

I'm afraid I can't speak to the political overtones, however!
