  28. Such a wonderful news, Ruth. I am so happy for you and your family.

We celebrated many 18th of January in my family – it was my grandfather’s birthday (my mom’s dad.) I have written several posts about him. (He was partly responsible for my travel addiction as he gave me postcards to play with when I was a small child.) He was very tall and smart and had a strong personality and lived a very long life. I hope that baby James will have a happy life too. Starting in your family with so much love surrounding him is a very good start! Congratulations.

  49. My dear Friends, I'm overwhelmed. With unspeakable joy. With gratitude. With all the Sacredness of Life.

I'm so pleased to share this time with you, and to know that you care. It was a long and difficult labor and delivery, yet how quickly we moved into the next phase of the worries of the first days at home! ;-) He is doing beautifully well, and all the important milestones are past.

I will update you in a post sometime this week. I'm still with the new family until tomorrow. We all slept well last night! Including Sir James.
