Sometimes driving to work on two-lane Meridian Road I'm glad no cars are around me because I am mesmerized by Nature. -15 F (-26 C) temps put hoar frost on every twig this morning. With the rising sun pinking up the frosting and clouds, I thanked my lucky cars - I mean stars - to be living in a winter wonderland.
You can indeed thank your lucky stars, Ruth. Fantastical things are happening this winter all over the western world! :)

Anet, I imagine that was gorgeous! Too bad you couldn't catch it on sensor. The beauty of nature is harsh, I think of the poor men outside the Rescue Mission just down the street from your bank. I'm sure they don't keep them waiting outside in this cold.

I remember driving toward Port Huron and seeing the immense banks of clouds ahead that hung over Lambton County, Ontario, moving south off Lake Huron.
I often thought them the Himalayas of "The Far Pavilions" and "The Jewel in the Crown", and fancied I was traveling to the foothills of the pillars of heaven.
It is a Southern Michigan thing.
