new header, again

Yep. I changed my header again. Whenever I opened my page, the last one just didn't say to me, "yeah, that's it." And because I love play-play-playing, I made a new one. I plan to keep this one here for the winter.

I think.

If you're like me, you like change. If you're not - sorry to change things up so fast. I kept my curious little girl standing at the side, looking on. I think she needs to stick around.

But hey, this kind of change is free! And there's no waste piling up in a dump.

  2. Love your header...keep it, it really says the season beautifully.
I think that curious, learning girl is my granddaughter. She spends so much time writing and creating.
Change is good but can be hard sometimes.

  5. I love this one! Very wintery and you know I "heart" the little squirrel photo!
I am always changing my blog with the seasons. It's that "decorator" in me. Change is good Ruth!

  7. I'm lovin' it.

It really shows off the beauty of a winter in Michigan.

  8. Besides, it's a great way to showcase several images at the same time in a soulful way, Ruth! :)

  9. I like this one better than the other one....but I liked it too! Nothing wrong with change...it is the only way we have an opportunity to improve.

  10. Makes me shiver and feel warm both at the same time.

    Strange, but nice.

  12. Sharon, Donica and Sidney, I'm glad I went for the change, for your sakes too.

The previous one felt that it had no life in it, it just felt dead every time I opened it. This one feels more alive, even though it's winter.

  13. Sue, good for your granddaughter, and for you. Isn't it wondrous what has changed for girls and women since this little girl was drawn in the 1920s until your granddaughter's life? And that sure was hard won. I heard yesterday about a 100-year-old African American woman who will be going to the inauguration Jan. 20. She was born before blacks or women could vote.

  14. Susan, thank you, that's nice, because I wish that was all I had to do all day.

  15. Thanks, Wrensong! One of the fun things about Picasa collages is choosing and unchoosing photos until you get the right set, and then shuffling until they look right together. So your comment is perfect. :)

  17. Anet, I thought you would "heart" Sniffy's cousin. He was so cute on a very cold day last February when I walked over to the Red Cedar on campus. Glad you like the header, and change too. I knew that about you.

  19. Thanks, Vicki. I almost don't get enough of Michigan winters. But wow, we've had it heavy and early this season.

  20. Boots, funny, because I didn't used to be a fan of photo collage. Maybe the ones I'd seen didn't flow for me. It's not easy to get the right photos that work together.

  21. Donica, I really did enjoy creating the previous one and learning on PS, so that alone was worth it.

  22. Barry, that's my feeling about winter precisely, so thank you for that.

  27. I wouldn't go as far as Sharon in calling this one "so much better," but it seems seasonally appropriate!

  32. Thanks for that, Loring.

I can't seem to come up with a header I like as well as the autumn collage before the previous header (footer now), even though I keep trying. But I'll give it a rest, and maybe spring will present fresh horizons.

  38. This header is gorgeous! For the life of me, I can't figure out how to drag a few pictures together for a new banner. I will have to study a bit harder, you will be proud of me. lol : )

  43. I like your header a lot. I like change too. I'll probably change mine soon. I want to try the collage thing one of these days, the new one on picasa. I only got that installed a few days ago, didn't know there was an update
