Beautiful place, beautiful pictures Ruth, The picture of the road is gorgeous, how wondeful to walk on it. i have always visualised life in monastery. I remember reading Michel Crichton's book 'Timeline' The place looks ideal for portraits. Lot of similarities in India. Ireland also is a land of extremes in speed. You'll have wonderful time if you atay away from highways.

rauf, I realized after posting this yesterday, that this is a 6th century monastery. So very old. The stones are beautiful the way they've been placed, aren't they?

Lesley, we've had rain off and on. Sometimes it's a bit chilly, but never uncomfortable. It got very warm this day in Killarney. And the next day it rained all day in Kinsale, so it was good we had our sun when we were outside all day in Killarney.
